The XR200 is a 150 kV, battery powered, pulsed X-ray generator used in security and light industrial applications. Golden Engineering introduced the XR200 in 1997 as the replacement of THE INSPECTOR X-ray Model 200.
Sharing the same electronics, housing design and battery pack as the XRS3 generator enhances the versatility of both models. A field replaceable tube and modular concept make the XR200 easy to service and maintain. The robust single package design withstands the extreme environments that field portable X-ray generators commonly encounter. The generator is powered by a DeWalt® battery pack available worldwide. A pulse rate of 25 pulses per second makes it the fastest of all Golden Engineering models.

The XRS3 is a 270 kV, battery powered, pulsed X-ray generator used in security and light industrial applications. Golden Engineering introduced the XRS3 in 2001 for applications that require greater penetration than the XR150 or XR200. The XRS3 penetrates up to one inch of steel when used with various digital imaging systems.
The XRS3 is our most versatile unit because it provides exceptional penetrating ability in a compact package. The compact design features a battery pack, sturdy glass tube, high voltage head, and electronic controls a single package that weighs less than 13 pounds. Operators can acquire spare battery packs at their convenience because the XRS3 is powered by the same commercially available battery packs that power DeWalt cordless tools. The XRS3 shares the same electronic controls and battery as the XR200 which enhances the versatility of both models.
The XRS3 has proven it can withstand extreme environments including artic and desert conditions. The XRS3 is compatible with numerous digital imaging systems to make a powerful and highly portable X-ray system.
The XRS4 is a 370 kV, battery powered, pulsed X-ray generator used in security and light industrial applications. Golden Engineering introduced the XRS4 in 2010 to provide a significant increase in penetrating ability compared to previous models.
The XRS-4 has the same concept as other models with a single package design that includes a DeWalt battery pack, high voltage head, sturdy glass tube, and electronic controls. Two features unique to the XRS-4 include a robust aluminum housing, and a bellows located in the handle. Both of these features improve the durability and longevity of the generator.
The electronics control module was updated in 2015 to include a menu based design that greatly enhances operator interface capabilities. The menu allows operators to change the pulse rate of the machine, set multiple pulse trains with appropriate rests between, easily track the life of the machine.
The XRS4 has been redesigned in 2018 and has the same modular housing as the other models. It is now powered by a DeWalt 20V battery and has an 80 character LCD and expanded menu options.
Weighing 19 pounds the XRS4 is significantly larger and heavier than other Golden Engineering generators. A 370 kv generator that penetrates more than 1.5 inches of steel and weighs less than 25 pounds is still considered extremely portable by industry standards.
